This is a painted silk wall hanging, with top and bottom pockets for the clear acrylic rods (included). It was painted with Japanese technique called Rozome. I stretched the silk and painted the design with hot wax. Then with the paintbrushes and professional DuPont Dyes, I added the color. This process was repeated several times and dyes were overpainted to create the final piece. The silk was then steamed and is hand washable.
