Imagine. Walking in the night. Evening landscape. Monoprinted and painted. Stars, moon, and trees. I sew the silk painting to the canvas background by hand and glued it on the cardboard to finish the piece. Display this small gem as it is, or you can frame it. One of a kind.
This is the process: I painted with acrylics on a jello plate, then printed the painting on silk. You can only make one print, that is why it is called Monoprint. When the print is dry, I paint more colours on printed silk with French dyes. And the painting is finished by drawing the details with acrylics. It is steamed in the steamer to set the colours. The painting is washable, but you will never need to wash it unless you decide to use this wall piece later on - for example, you can add it to some clothes (a few generations from now?)
