This mixed media piece was first rust dyed on silk satin, and later painted with wax and Dupont silk dyes, using a paintbrush. It is sewn on wool and on linen, which creates a double frame. Linen was painted with acrylics. Later the piece was hand quilted. The technique of using wax and paintbrush on silk is an old Japanese technique called Rozome
